Almost. I was discharged from the hospital. And I felt much better. And I had time to get a flight to Oslo and then to Halden to see NABUCCO. It almost worked. I came in time to the airport. The plane was delayed and so I realized... PAIN. It was there again. I tried to get myself to hospital again but no. I understand. My case was so in between home would be enough or hospital for enough pain relieve.
From my pain in Paris on May17th and till now. Pain has gone and come. I have been at work and had sick leave. I have been in hospital bed or on my sofa. Trying to ride it out, or something. I hope this is going to be better. I want to have a nice summer holiday without being acutely in pain. That would be nice.
So ODT had to cancel NABUCCO på Fredriksten Festning.

2 concerts in July becomes October and November
I have decided not to go to the Berlin concert with José Cura on July 8th. And not to go to Paralada for a concert version of Nabucco with Juan Pons, Maria Guleghina. I am sad but I save a lot of money this way.
So I have changed the concert with Cura with a concert in Vienna with Josep Carreras on October 14. And I have changed Nabucco concert with another Verdi opera Oberto in Paris with Maria Guleghina on November 19th.
I just booked my ticket for Opera Bergen's CavRust/Le Villi in August

Cancellations, Agnes Baltsa and I
I have canceled my trip to Zurich to see IL CORSARO in Zurich. So no night bus to Oslo, early airport bus to the airport and waiting for Swiss to open to get my boarding card. No hassle with security and no waiting for the plane to start. No boring waiting for the plane to finally land at Zurich Airport. No deciding how to get to Zurich city and now trams/or walking to find my hotel. No wait for my room to be ready and no feeling tired from the traveling. I'll be eating and resting at home. Eating at home and no fancy restaurant. I will listen to my IPOD and reading Robert Jordan's The Wheel of the Time and NOT see IL CORSARO in Opernhaus Zurich. I know how hard or soft my bed will be. No hotel breakfast for me. And no long wait for the afternoon flight to Oslo. And finally no frantic running to get to my new gate to the airplane that will get me home in an hour or so instead of 7 hours with bus.
Other people will see

News for Opernhaus Zurich's Turandot: I am not coming
Today I had planned a post about my going to Zurich to see Jose Cura as Calaf in TURANDOT. I saw this production last time on 2006-04-30.
But what happens? I am not well. It is not that I am terribly sick, but I am not well enough to go to work and so I must admit travelling to Zurich might really be too much. My body is telling me it is so. It is too bad. But on the other hand, going to Zurich and getting really, really unwell there is not a great option. Of course, I might just pull it through. But where is the joy in that. Especially since my return travel is even more rocky than the travel to Zurich and I do not need that. I hate to cancel my travels, it cost money and it costs dreams.
So I am off the PC now. Getting better costs.

ODT cancels travel to Zurich for Le Cid on January 19th
I decided not to go not because Jose Cura would not be Rodrigue. But because of my own health.
I still hope to go to Zurich to see Cura as Rodrigue. First possibilty is January 26th. But first I have an appointment with a doctor. Or maybe February 1. will be a possibility but then I would have to take one day away from work.
Le Cid in Zurich looks from the photos to be a beautiful productiom and from reviews also a successful one.
Hope against reason, maybe.....
